As our courses are generally run on a ‘guiding only’ basis here is a brief summary of some additional expenses including using mountain lifts and staying in mountain huts / refuges.

These are for reference only and some prices may not be the exact current amount.

Alpine Mountain Huts

Here are examples of the costs for an overnight stay, including dinner & breakfast, in French, Italian & Swiss Mountain Huts. These are the huts of the national alpine club and some private huts will often charge a bit more. Whilst some huts take credit cards, taking cash (Euros or Swiss Francs) is the best way of ensuring there are no problems.

How much does it cost to stay in a Swiss Mountain Hut?
Prices for each hut are slightly different. S.A.C. members pay a maximum of 26 CHF per night & non-members 28 – 40 CHF (half-board is double). Children and young people pay reduced rates. Euros are accepted in SAC huts.
