Scottish Winter Mountaineering & Climbing

Scottish Winter Mountaineering is a highly challenging and rewarding activity in its own right and a fantastic training ground for the Alps and Himalaya. Days out on Scotland’s winter mountains can be tough and adventurous experiences but the rosy cheeks and satisfaction of a mountain adventure wrapped up in to a single day will more than compensate.

As well as some very fine summits, ascents of the more difficult and rightly famous gullies and ridges can be and made and climbs of all difficulties are available to ensure the right level of challenge. The skills of navigation, avalanche awareness, route finding and ropework can all be trained effectively in these small yet demanding and extremely rewarding mountains.

Our Scottish courses are based in Fort William in the West Highlands. We pride ourselves in using a diverse range of venues and delivering an excellent blend of training, guiding, experiential learning and just having a good day in the mountains.

Hi Rob, Just a quick email to thank you for two excellent days climbing. It's fair to say I was blown away by how engrossing mixed climbing is and the quality of the routes. I also learnt a huge amount over both days.
