High Mountain Guides in Mens Fitness Magazine!
High on the Bosses Ridge of Mont Blanc, Chamonix
This months Mens Fitness Magazine features an article by London based U.S. journalist Henry Wismayer describing 10 Mountains 'Any Man Can Trek'. The point is to demonstrate that a lot of the world's famous 4000m peaks do not require expensive technical equipment or even, in some cases, much mountaineering experience. Muztagh Ata would appear to be a bit of an exception as, whilst it is not technically difficult, it's very high altitude and tough weather make it a full expedition peak.
The 10 peaks featured are:
- Colorado's Fourteeners (>4267m) U.S.A.
- Mount Kilimanjaro (5895m) Tanzania
- Mount Kinabalu (4095m) Borneo
- Iztaccihuatl (5230m) Mexico
- Huayna Potosi (6088m) Bolivia
- Muztagh Ata (7546m) China
- Mont Blanc (4810m) France
- Mount Toubkal (4165m) Morocco
High Mountain Guides supplied the dramatic 'Mont Blanc - Bosses Ridge' photo. This was taken high on the summit ridge at the point where the hairs on the back of the neck really start rising due to the imminent, and now highly likely, summit arrival.
