Ski Mountaineering combines two fantastic activities and creates the ability to complete long, elegant journeys through the winter mountains. Ascending on skins is an aesthetically pleasing and physically rewarding activity and many of the major alpine peaks are more suited to efficient ski journeys than long summer plods. And then there are the huge descents, over glaciers and down valleys. We can’t always guarantee powder snow but big grins and rosy cheeks are very common!
