Lectures

Mountaineering Lectures can be informative, inspirational and instructional. We aim to deliver all three in a variety of talks from around the Worlds Mountains. Rob Jarvis delivers the annual British Mountaineering Councils (BMC) 'Winter Essentials' talks so check out whether they are coming to a town near you this autumn.

He has also given talks on Antarctica, first ascents in the Indian Himalaya, Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan at venues including Plas-y-Brenin (the national mountain training centre), schools and New Scotland Yard, HQ of the London Metropolitan Police.

Just some feedback for you from last night’s lecture at Newcastle: Absolutely Excellent 10/10 for the two guys. A perfect balance of topics that held the interest of both walkers and climbers. The pace of presentation was good, especially if you wanted the lecture to be a refresher of things you had learnt on previous winter skills course. The two guys’ enthusiasm and expertise really came over strongly. Thanks again and congratulations to all involved.
