Chamonix Based Course

On the fine mountaineering traverse of the Aiguilles Crochues, Chamonix

Possible venues and climbs during a Chamonix based week:

  • Glacier skills training on the Tour Glacier
  • Climb the Aiguille de Tour (F)
  • Petite Verte (PD)
  • Rock climbing and scrambling in the Aiguille Rouges e.g. the traverse of the Crochues
  • Tour Ronde (PD)
  • Multi pitch mountain rock climbing in the Chamonix Valley or at the Orny Hut
  • Mont Blanc du Tacul (4248m) (PD+)

Suggested Experience: Solid background of hillwalking in the UK with some scrambling experience. Whilst it not essential to have a background of UK rock climbing and winter mountaineering this will be useful. A good fitness level is required for alpine mountaineering days up to 8 hours in duration.
