Spring in the Mountains...
Superb spring scrambling and rock climbing in Glencoe, Scottish Highlands
Spring is the best time of year to be in the Scottish Highlands. You can do it all....before the Midges arrive:
Whilst fat blue ice still clings to the steep flanks on the North Face of Ben Nevis and snow hangs on in the deep gullies, on the lower cliffs and scrambles warm dry rock can often be enjoyed (but not always!). It is a great time of year for preparing for alpine trips for the following summer season as both the winter techniques of good cramponing and ice climbing can be practised one day and rock climbing or moving together on alpine terrain practiced on a rocky scramble the next. We run tailor made alpine and expedition training courses to fit and best prepare folk for their next big trip in to the mountains.
If you are looking for a fun trip out and about in the hills and don't want to come up the Scottish Highlands how about trying bouldering, gorge walking, coasteering or even a UK mountain Via Ferrata course. Details of all these water and mountain activities, spread out around the UK, can be found on the comprehensive UK travel listings website 'Travel-Quest'.
