Neil Pitts	Tuesday 16 March 2010 10:09:09 pm On Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 March 2010 I hired Rob Jarvis to guide me on some winter stuff in Scotland. I was quite specific about what I wanted to achieve from the two days with my main hope being to increase my confidence on mountain routes so that I can more comfortably go out and lead on higher grades.I must say that he fulfilled all my wishes and more. Rob is obviously very competent as is required by his guiding qualifications but above and beyond that his love for the mountains, his passion to share his knowledge with others and his calm, relaxed and friendly manner means that learning from him becomes a real joy. There is a difference bewteen hiring a guide who just takes you climbing for the day and drags you up a couple of routes and hiring a guide who expands your horizons for the future of your own climbing. Rob definately falls into the later category. I can thoroughly recommend him to anyone considering taking out a guide for a day or longer. Money well spent. Thanks for a great couple of days Rob.
